Sufanna works with Women of all walks of life with particular concentration with culturally diverse groups such as South Asian descent. So come on in for a chat, bring your favorite throw/blanket and step outside of the traditional therapy session by making yourself comfortable, curl up on the coach or just chill on the floor as you explore building a relationship within yourself to start your healing. If things get too heavy, Sufanna encourages her clients to take a walk with her, move around the room to their favorite song, color, guided imagery, or other mindfulness techniques. Her approach is focused around Ecotherapy.

Talk Therapy is a valuable tool that is more than reading a self help book, it is an outlet to safely share and express emotions with a professional Clinician.

I believe that therapy is individual and customized. I employ a variety of approaches so that you feel seen and heard and can use our session to launch forward with our conversation and your own personal growth.
ACT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Encouraging individuals to embrace their thoughts and feelings. ACT develops psychological flexibility and is a form of behavioral therapy that combines mindfulness skills with the practice of self-acceptance. Clients learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions and, instead, accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent them from moving forward in their lives. With this understanding, clients begin to accept their hardships and commit to making necessary changes in their behavior, regardless of what is going on in their lives and how they feel about it.
MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING
Motivational interviewing is a counseling method that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that takes into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes.
SOLUTION-FOCUSED THERAPY
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) concentrates on finding solutions in the present time and exploring one’s hope for the future to find quicker resolution of one’s problems. This method takes the approach that you know what you need to do to improve your own life and, with the appropriate coaching and questioning, are capable of finding the best solutions.
LIFE/WELLNESS COACHING
Brief and focused on mind, body, spirit by offering insight, redefining expectations and intentions, developing goals and embracing change. While this is not a replacement for mental health services, I do embrace an Eco-Approach through my training.
PERSONALIZATION
Concierge therapy is the essence of personalized sessions that are created to a custom-fit for you. Your insurance company won’t manage the number of sessions we can have, and we won’t use a “one size fits all” approach to for our conversations; this allows our partnerships to be guided by how you’re feeling and what obstacles are in your way. There may be times when you’re in search of someone to give feedback from the outside perspective and other times you may need a listening ear during a frustrating day or season of life. Our sessions together can look however growth looks for you at that time.
CONVENIENCE
The beauty of teletherapy is that you won’t waste time in the car; you won’t come in frustrated that you got behind a school bus or couldn’t find a parking spot. Our secure video chat allows you to have therapy wherever you are — lunch break at work, your dorm room, or at home while dinner is baking in the oven. Teletherapy also allows us to connect even when you’re feeling under the weather.
